Think the first one I bought for myself was Ride a white swan ... T.Rex .... but had two older brothers whose records I used to 'borrow' Lol

First one I remember buying myself, was "Seven seas of Rye" by Queen.

I bought it our local Woolworths. As I was at High school, I must have bought it around 1971-1973.

Still have it in vinyl.

I cant say i know this one Fredrick, but i used to play my parents 78's and i remember stepping back on Bill Haleys "rock around the clock" and thinking "im dead!" lol, suprisingly i didnt get a smack! hahahha

Hi Crunchy, Maybe a bit before your time (have feeling I've put my foot in it) He was a composer and conductor who specialised in brass band music, (nothing better than a good brass band), born Hebden Bridge Yorkshire, 1902-1992.
If anybody's interested there's 197,000 hits on Google.
