cars sitting in a lane that can only go one direction.........all with the indicators flashing......why?
drivers that can travel for miles around roundabouts, and only discover the indicator when wishing to turn into a lane that can only go one place. ie the supermarket.......cars in the outside lane leading to a roundabout that indicate right, when really they are going to take the next left....
drivers that drive 5 MPH below the limit, whether its 30, 40, or 50 mph.
cars that follow a lane line, giving the impression they are going left at a roundabout but carry on round....
and last but not least the driver that indicates AFTER he has commenced the manouvre usually a last moment decision to turn left.

Two of my pet hates are
People who arrive fresh as a daisy, smelling of soap and aftershave and nice clean clothes, then lean close to say something - and breathe garlic all over me.

Mothers who interrupt what I am saying (in the middle of a sentence) to answer a child who has run up to them and blurted out what they have to say. I don't believe they should be 'seen and not heard' but their mothers should teach them to wait until they are addressed - and the mothers could learn some manners too - cutting other people off to give the child priority.

I don't like to see people walking along the street, eating anything - their size or shape has nothing to do with it. It makes me think that they are 'always hungry'. It certainly doesn't make me think 'they must be a busy person'. It makes me think they must be badly organised if they can't find time to sit on a park bench, or take the food back to work/home and eat it there.

Janetx Report 29 Jul 2009 23:54

Agree with you there Berona.

People should at least take the time to eat properly.

One of my pet hates is people who drive really slow then they pull up on the side of the road without indicating!!

Another one is busy at the shops and people tend to stand in the aisle to chat, with their trolleys and it makes it near on impossible to get by. Chatting check out operators as well when i am in a hurry...

I don't like people who look at me as if I must be stupid because I don't do things the way they do or criticise the way I do something. And that means people who think their way of doing things as the only way or when you tell them you've had professional advice snigger to imply that whoever you've chosen for advice must be stupid.

WUM's on here and people who post contentious threads and then leave them to run on. They must love sitting back and watching the thread sink low.

I also hate all the smokers of the world and never leave my house, shun any family or friend who dares to even show a packet of cigs. and refuse to travel overseas or anywhere in case a smoker shows up anywhere near me. Oh sorry..... that one's already been done:)))

And that reminds me Janet - what is it lately in supermarkets when the cashier asks you how your day is or has been? They're not interested and usually I'm either hacked off at standing in a queue waiting or I'm miles away in my own little world!

Mind you, I do try and make eye contact with them and say thank you. My son told me when he worked in retail for a while that it is so rude of customers to be putting the change in their purse/wallet and not looking at the cashier.

I think that they actually get told in training that they have to ask the customer how they are etc...But forgot to tell them that they need to look like they mean it...lol.
Most of the cashiers are great but some arghhhhh.

It must be a relatively new bit of training though. I shop in three different supermarkets local to me and they're all doing the same thing lately. Maybe there was a buy one get one free offer on the training package!

People who stand in the aisles of supermarkets talking to friends about holidays, BBQs, her next door etc...its a SHOP so shop , don't use it as a social club and get in my way !

Families shopping, mum ,dad two unhappy children under 5, why?! it only takes one to go round and buy, the other could look after the kids...and then the child is sobbing and mum and dad are too 'busy' to even speak to it.

Shop assistants who can't be bothered , and managers who don't manage ( that's because I was one and some of them I would sack straight off!)

people who drop litter.

best go before I think of any more :)

People without children, or with older children not in car seats and so don't need the wider space....... who park in the parent child parking bays.

People who use someone elses disabled ticket to park in the disabled bays.. even when they don't have the badge owner with them (lots of care home staff do that... I often want to ask where they work, so I can report them)

People who just park in the bays without displaying a ticket.

Families who stop in the middle of the aisle at supermarkets... to talk to the next door neighbours entire family as well!!

Men who congregate aroung the veg section and chat about football/cricket/rugby whatever.... and won't move and get shirty with you when you ask them to.

Spitting... and spitting out gum.

Parking in the Emergency bays

people who stand right behind you while you put your pin no in the machine.

People who stop just inside/outside the doorways, and have a good old natter, blocking the exit/entry.

drivers who are so far up your rear, they can toot your horn!!

People who use their mobile phones anywhere they see fit... in spite of massive signs saying they mustn't

Children running around in supermarkets and creating havoc wearing those shoes with the wheels in the heels...... or worse, on scooters or roller blades.

Unsupervised kids who have all the toys out of the boxes and littered in the aisle

Older kids, usually boys, who think it is ok to get the little kiddies balls out and kick them around the stores.

I am ok with temper tantrums... they can't be helped, and I often feel sorry for the kiddie and the parents... been in their position so know how it feels.

Older people who are rude and/or uncouth.... and then go on to criticise youngsters!!

People who do not say please or thank you

People who chew with their mouths wide open like the Grand Canyon *shudders*

People on mobility scooters who act as though they own the pavements... or roads, in some cases!

Erm....... I'm on a roll, aren't I???

Anyone who keeps their face covered up when they are in a store or bank... gives me the eeby jeebies, does that! My sister and brother in law were robbed by two thugs in motorbike helmets, carrying sawn off shotguns, many years ago......

I'll be back with more, I'm sure!!
