I reckon he just disappeared and will probably be discovered buried in someone's backyard one day. Or Ellen was a bigamist. For some reason I don't particularly like Ellen - just a feeling. Some ancestors I have a great fondness for and some I just can't take to.

Tec..young man! I like it

Some one called me young man on a thread recently, and no, I was not trying to pass myself off as a twenty year old Adonis.

I just suggested that she google a word that I had used, which she did and the results went beyond even my wildest dreams!!

I would add that there was nothing offensive about the word

So you are not a Creationist then Allan, thank goodness for that

Sue I can't see them in 1871, I kept all the other notes, but can't see when and where William Morris was born.

I think she may well have done away with him, because I can't see a death for him. maybe he ran away from her scolding tongue and is is Oz

Berona, what can I say... I think I had better not say anything

Allan, I've had a feeling all along that the job was never done properly in the first place. My bathroom basin squirts out at me when I turn it on, and there is a leak in the kitchen tap too. I have felt that the cheapest quote was accepted for all fourteen villas/townhouses and that the apprentices were left to do the work and not checked on. No quality control.d

Sue - the cost is not mine, thankfully. My quarterly strata fees cover all structural and shared area repairs and maintenance.

Already they have washed my floors from front door, through dining room to bathroom and hallway. Only the laundry to go now - while I sit here and watch them, so I'm laughing (and waiting to light my scented candle!).

Sorry, Linda - I didn't say. William Morris was born in Chatham Kent. He is on the 1841, 1851 census returns with his family and 1861 boarding with other people. After that - nothing.

The only marriage I can see is this one, but the first names arethe wrong way around

Digger - Pioneer Index. Victoria 1836-1888

Surname: KENNEDY
Given Names: Francis Jane
Event: M
Spouse Surname/Father: MORGAN
Spouse Gvn Names/Mother: William
Age:
Sex: F
Birth Place:
Death Place:
Year: 1852
Reg Number: 5980
Denomination: Church of England
Parish: ST JAMES, MELBOURNE
Fiche: 968
to William Morgan, but I can't see a death in Victoria in 1902.
There were four marriages for just Jane Kennedy over the years, but for each of the four surnames, there is no matching death in 1902.

How do you know she died in 1902 if you don't know she married?

She could have married in Ireland before she went

Allan

Now, I'll have that second cup of coffee!

LindainHerriotCountry Report 29 Oct 2009 22:21

The only Jane Francis any surname to die in Victoria in 1902 was only 51 and had the wrong mothers name,so she can't have died in 1902 in Victoria, there is no correct match in the next few years either.

I am not doing very well tonight
