talented and tortured he was and will be missed in the music world.
although there has not been a lot recently.

But I wonder if he had not been so famous how many people would have forgiven him for his tortured life or called him a peodophile.

Will those who forgive Michael Jackson forgive Gary Glitter ?

To be fair Uzzi, Michael Jackson was found not guilty on all charges whereas Gary Glitter is as guilty as sin..........I was never one who believed MJ was guilty of anything nasty, just very childlike, naive and surrounded by people who should have advised him of the dangers of his actions.

Whatever the case, it is still a tragedy for his family and friends and he, unlike GG made a huge positive impact on the music industry.

Kitty I agree with that and personally agree that he was just a child himself, he did have people who who advised him but choose not to go with them.
No he was never convicted but it did leave people wondering.

I admit using GG was a bad comparison. sorry for that.

Michael Jackson never had a proper childhood, he was never allowed to play like a normal 7 year old he was forced to rehearse & he and his brothers were beaten by their father.
Is it any wonder he had problems? As for the child abuse allegations i for one dont think it was true. Maybe we will never know the truth.
I saw him perform at Aintree in 1987 and he was brillant!
I notice all the newspapers who slagged him off are now putting tributes in the paper!
Rest In Peace Michael xx

I never ever thought he was guilty of child abuse. He lost out on a childhood and to my mind he was always looking for what he had missed.

As for his music....it speaks for itself as does his brilliant videos and stage performances.

I've already said this on another thread but I'll say it again.....
thank you for the music Michael.

Jean.

It is tragic ,and I can't possibly understand how his family will be feeling right now, especially his children. His music and dancing were brilliant, but he always seemed to be a sad and lonely person.
I think we will all be going to bed tonight with Michael Jackson or Jackson 5 music on our brains lol

RIP

Loved him in the 80's but then went off him as he changed and got weird - I now hope his kids can live a normal childhood instead of hiding behind silly masks, they need some childhood to prevent them ending up like their Dad

Yes Thats True!

It will be interesting to see what his children have to say about him when they get older!

Hopefully they can get to stay with the Jackson Family & not have to go back to their mother who gave them up for money. Hopefully the contract she signed is water tight & she has no legal rights to them!
