was great to meet you my little city friend...

I think I owe you all an apology for disappearing on Saturday but I had to get inside out of the sun,it must have look so rude of me but fair skin,freckles and the sun don't mix well...lol
Maybe next time it will be a little cooler and I will have chance to meet more people.

I had a good time and thanks Diane for showing us round some of 'your' Liverpool, we were both very taken with the place and will be trying to arrange a holiday there either later this year or next Spring, so much to see and do. Spent Sunday at the Cathedral where my Gt Grandfather and Gt Uncle worked as Stonemasons, I got talking to a guide there who was very excited and took me off to see some old film of the masons working, trouble was I wouldn't know the relatives if they were on the film as I don't have pics of them. I got very emotional when I went in, thinking of them working on that wonderful building in it's earlier days and then my Gt Uncle ending his days in Liverpool, just wish I could find out more about his daughters and their offspring etc.
Spent a couple of hours round Albert Dock area on Monday before driving back.

I can thoroughly recommend an Italian restaurant in the East area on Duke st, called Il Forno, fabulous pizza and award winning restaurant.

I really enjoyed meeting so many people, my cyber Sis Carolb, Tinkerbelle, Rose, Squirrel, Clairejo, Julie and of course our Mac, who is always pulling my leg. Keith and Catherine I had met before at a Manchester meet, and of course, our Dutch is now very real to me, altho I had seen photos, and we talk often on the phone.

Thanks Keith for arranging the meet, and thanks to those who helped me surprise Joyce. Had it not been for the meet I would not have realised what a fascinating place Liverpool is so a double pleasure. I do have some nice pics but they are still in the camera at the mo. Will let you know when they are transferred to the computer so I can forward them on.
