Glenys the Menace!

Glenys the Menace! Report 19 May 2009 09:31

Joy, I tried to control myself - honest!

Sue, you didn't see the jumping-up-and-down bit, lol.

Tania - I should have known, as "tantrum" is widely used here. Doh. Thanks for that.

Got a reply from GR - so it seems we should all be paying the same for standard, , the only differance being 6 monthly for some who have been here for less time or have broken their run of membership..

Dear Elaine

I can confirm that you pay £9.95 for a years membership this is standard membership.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Sue Maid :) I had a 'tantrum' once ( well not a tantrum I just got so fed up and acted in haste lol) and deleted my account...next day having given myself a good kicking for being hot-headed (not to mention wasting money!) I asked GR if they could please let me at least have access till I recovered info from 'contacts' messages ... they very kindly just re- instated my account with original number so I was back again lol... presumambly that is what others have done too?

Muffyxx Report 19 May 2009 11:36

I deleted myself off in a strop over a year ago now ...mainly due to things going on off the boards...and lost my 12 monthly renewal DOH !!!

However I did it quietly and without fuss.....didn't want to wash my dirty laundry in public... but .regretted it about 48 hrs later and rejoined with a fresh account different number etc. Most were none the wiser !!!

I think some of the reason for all this account deleting......NOT ALL I hasten to add...... is because of this twice yearly renewal... I believe it could be that SOME people get close to their renewal date.....and whether they do it conciously or unconciously (I believe mostly it's consciously) they orchestrate a situation and then delete their account to either a)get sympathy or b) make someone else look like they're responsible and therefore a right meanie :0)

But that's just my opinion xx

If I delete myself close to July you'll know the reason why !!! .........Only joshing lol xx

Thank you Kay, I must be one of those with a normal adjusted outlook as I'm still on yearly LOL

I must admit I've been tempted sometimes to throw a wobbly and just leave....then I remembered that I will probably want to come back and it will cost me twice as much to go on 6 monthly membership, so I don't.

Ok so I'm a tightass PMSL

If and when I do eventually leave, I'll just go. I won't have a thread up so that others can beg me to stay. If I've made my mind up, that's it, finito.

Same here TW
One payment a year is enough
I can always log off if I want to
Much cheaper that way

Exactly Mo, which is why I took some time out in the autumn, and just watched. I was all for throwing a 'tanty' and deleting, but thought, why the hell should I? But I was angry so I banned myself from posting and just looked in.

Wow, that was a very worthwhile exercise I can tell you, worth every penny of my tenner alone...lol

I think it was the same people he was patronising on his thread, now deleted Lynda. He certainly made me feel wary of joining any of his 'debates' in future. I certainly don't want to be voicing an opinion on one thing to be accused of something else entirely...

I took Dolly Dereks comment to be aimed at me.

However trouble maker that I am *coughs* I decided once I'd seen his other thread to switch off and let him get on with it .

I know a wind up when I see one :0)
