BC I know you need to make it smaller somehow but not sure how. Put a request up on the board. Is it downloaded into a photo programme? If so there should be somewhere that says to downsize a photo, maybe when sending e mail. I know that is confusing, it sounds confusing to me sorry.

Morning Daff and all:-) Woke up to surly skies this morning, very uninviting! Glad you like the photos Ann, it was a bizarre but wonderful day! Does anyone here drink Soya milk, have just tried some and I find it quite disgusting;;;think I shall go back to skimmed.. *sighs..it's a bit difficult trying to be healthy isnt it? Just heard that taking Aspirin if you have never had heart problems, causes more damage (to stomach) than not. I thought if they were coated, then it was ok?
Hope you all enjoy the day, whatever you are doing:-)

Morning all....... what a miserable day, here!!
BC, I loathe soya milk... my sister does too, but she still drinks it, lolol yuckety yuk! I don't know anything about aspirin, the coated type, as I can't take it... I am allergic to it, as well as other nsaids, unfortunately.
Ann, you were busy!! It sounds as though it looks lovely, though, so well worth it. And yes, I was cold, yesterday... had the heating on, and wore a lovely warm fleece out in the garden. I am freezing this morning, too!
Maz... no end to our collective talents, is there, lolol
Liz, I know where the one in Gloucester, and in Melton (assuming it is still there!!) I must look up where Commercial St is... probably know, but don't know the name, lolol
Well, yesterday, we got the compost I wanted, some bulbs, (iris, sqill, anemones, fritillaria and another I can't remember the name of) plus four different types of tulip, some more cyclamen, some beautiful delicate pansies, and some bird seed for the lady next door but one who has been bringing me fresh veg straight from their allottment! Oh, and three small climbers... they will grow huge, though! Honeysuckle, and two different clematis... very pretty... oh, and a fleecy tunnel thingy for the vegetables, lol
The woodland area is now all planted up..... I just need to put the bark down (well, R will do that today) and that area shouldn't need much doing to it for a couple of years!! I have also planted up two pots with daffodils and pansies, and two pots with tulips and pansies. Oh, and I have taken some semi-ripe cuttings of the various fuschia and the rosemary.... I am going to bring in the geranium today, as well... if it stops chucking it down, lol
Meanwhile, I shall start on the houseplants today...... I have dug out some pretty pots, and will take cuttings of my piggyback plant... and the cuttings from my umbrella plant and my rubber plant have rooted, so I'll put those into their own tubs... I just plunged them into existing tubs, lol The rubber plant cutting is an awkward shape, though... so I shall cut it into smaller pieces and see if they will root as well.
Before I do all that... I must have a cuppa and some brekkie... poached egg on toast, I think, this morning..... see you all later.
Love
Daff xxxxx

Afternoon ladies......Well I had to postpone my coffee with Taff, I've hurt my back again, so have taken painkillers and am being careful, will be fine again tomorrow, but have rearranged for Friday, as am out and about anyway. will pass on your love then!
H goes back to school thursday....am gonna ring her school tomorrow, or Wednesday, the teachers will be there for an inset day, as she has had several "funny turns" over the holidays, I googled the main symptoms, and was taken to Epilepsy Action website! I've got her an appointment with the doc, but couldn't get her in till Thursday (with the docs of my choice anyway). this has only really started over the holidays, although I'd dismissed her as being a drama queen (which she is prone to being.....takes after my sister!!! lol!) so I feel quite bad now, as they are increasing in frequency and severity! whoops......bad mum......!
Anyway, thats my moaning over, have just proof -read my CV, and added Welsh Spell Checker to my wishlist for Xmas....! honestly, some of the typo's were rather embarressing, or would be if I hadn't noticed!!?? I was offered a job, but they still haven't sent the contract through, and asked 1 of the referees for a reference, so I don't feel I can continue to wait for them......this job am applying for is so different to ANYTHING i've done before, and I feel really excited about it....not even sent the application yet!
BC - my sister tried several different soya milks before finding one she likes, she has one that is sweetend, but she tells me that its still the equivalant of skimmed...a friend of mine tried to cut dairy out, and she found that rice milk worked for her, think it can be a case of trial and error.
am thinking of putting our heating on today too....it supposed to be flipping summer, but its raining and miserable.....the tumble drier is going, and the clothes that couldn't be tumbled are all over the house....sorry...thats another moan! lol!
Daff....no sign of Uncle Fred., I was excited when I realised that my Great Gran was telling the truth about the gypsy part of the family, at least his sister filled in census....he's vanished! found his death and birth, and census until he's late teens, then nothing....possible marriages, but I need to narrow them down! blinking man..........more trouble than OH!!! had contact from someone via another site yesterday, regarding one branch of OH family, turns out they are eighth cousins!!! this guy is in South Africa, and has traced some of his family (not our branch) to 0933....I was impressed that I'd got one branch back to 1701...(only cos someone in that branch is Mormon, and kindly helped -although they have NOooooo idea - by sending OH uncle info 20 years ago that he passed to me when I told them what I was doing!!!)
hope everyone is ok, xxxxxxxx

Afternoon Daff and All from a bright and breezy Bay. So breezy that one of my big pots was bowled over in the night and Fuschia tipped out :O( this morning repotted it.,then deadheaded baskets flowers.,then saw a big weed,then another....then one thing led to another and I was out there 2 hours lol.. OH joined me and now everything's shipshape,fingers crossed no more pots are upset overnight! we're certainly all busy bees in the garden aren't we? always work to be done.
Glad you're feeling better now BC. and fairy lights will look really pretty around your bed :O)...did you wear your sparkly shoes down Oxford street then? lol
Hope your back improves Mamiddau,I can sympathise, had big trouble a few years ago after accident. ...btw. never knew there was a Welsh spell-checker?

Mau, bright and breezy....? lucky you, we are wet and blowy! the garden is like a bog, next door paved behind their pond, and now our garden does not drain!
My back goes like this every now and again, had problems since H was born, and was warned that more pregnancies would cause more problems - and then I had O!!! lol! the welsh spell-checker is great....but not cheap! It can be downloaded, so its on my Xmas list, in the hope that Santa will be kind...!

Bright and breezy here too this afternoon, just done a bit more cutting off (i.e.pruning) in the garden, I didn't do much but OH has done another load.
It was dull and breezy at Malden this morning, loads to see at the giant flea fair, hundreds of stalls, where does it all come from, some junk, some antiques, fascinating for a rummage around but nothing I saw worth buying - for me. All we bought was two large pork pies, a bag of plums andI bought a book by a children's illustrator, sort of a diary with drawings and paintings on the years from 1900 to 1050. Haven't had a chance to read it yet but it looks interesting.

Hi all,
Daff, there is Poundland in Swansea and one in Cardiff too I think, you can look on storefinder for the shops.
Yes Jean, we have been lucky in Norwich, and Cromer, Monday was glorious, warmer than it looked, especially when the clouds blew away and there was blue sky. I was in a cotton skirt and sleeveless top, lovely, just a bit breezy but not enough to be a problem. I took brolly, plastic mac and cardi and didn't need any of them, left the mac and brolly in the car and stuffed the cardi in my bag, had to wear sunglasses most of the time as it was so bright. I will try and send you a pic of me paddling in the sea lol, milk bottle legs on show, they just won't tan! Glad you have all been busy with your gardens, we will need to do a bit of work before we go away, if we do, as I still haven't sorted anything out lol Must get something finalised this week
take care all,
Lizxx

Morning everyone... well, I can see a little patch of blue sky, but it doesn't look as though it wants to come over my bit!! All I have are sullen grey clouds.... *sigh*
I have to go out in a bit, to pick up my prescription. I am also taking my bull by the horns... and am going to make an appointment to see our solicitor re the guy next door and his caravan... I feel strong enough to deal with the inevitable fallout now. Then I can have my fence put up at last.
Liz, yes, thank you... I googled it and now know where it is!! One is in Queen st.... right opposite the Castle... and the one in Newport is near my dentist, so I know where that is too, now... and you can buy online, as well!!
BC.... those photo's are fabulous!! Are the two littlies drinking their milk your grandchildren? They look scrumptious!!
~~~~~~~~ to everyone... I am off now to gather my wits together, and phone the solicitor. Once I have sorted out all my dates for hospital and dental appointments, so they don't clash, lol!!
Love
Right... that has been done... appointment made for next Tuesday..... we are on our way, lolol And I have butterflies!! *Huge sigh* I so wish it wasn't necessary, but he has been asked nicely so many times, and I have called the police twice due to his extreme response!! And the caravan is static... it never moves (well, once for a couple of days about 3 years ago) and I have been told he has used it as a dark room in the past!!
Now I need to go and shower and then collect my prescription... and the sun is peeping around those clouds, lol!! It might turn out nice after all.
