good afternoon all, another gloomy day like yesterday here, still warm but with very heavy showers.
Done the Tesco shop now, it was really quiet there too, no doubt the heavy rain we keep getting put them off. anyway we can eat again now!!
T is doing the ironing at the moment so that is keeping him occupied bless him. Golf again tomorrow of course but not friday as we are going to M Keynes! So, if I do another wash tomorrow he can iron it Thursday Lol!!!! Have to plan these things and if it is wet he can't get out in the garden.

Afternoon all! hope you are all well?
The "sun" is shining here, despite some thunderous black clouds on the horizon - are they coming up the country, or on the way down? I never watch the weather forecast cos it depresses me!
I am about to enter the realms of the un-known! that place that is called my wardrobe!!! Did OH's yesterday and counted 25 pairs of trousers - is that overkill? I think so! and why then, does he continue to wear the same ones until the arse shines like a bottle??? Then he had the timerity to say "I dont see much coming out of your side!" pmsl - he hasnt seen the three large bin liners full of stuff in the boot of my car - I reckon I might have another three bags for the back seat come tea-time!
Trouble is - you never know when you might need a trouser suit, with matching skirt do you? the fact that I live in jeans most of the time doesnt come into it, does it? I cant bear to chuck stuff out when I've probably only worn it a handfull of times - and then of course, there are the items that you buy cos you fancy them, and then realise that perhaps it was a mistake, but you cant justify chucking them because of the cost!
Oh decisions, decisions - think I'll just tidy it up a bit - lol lol
Be good everyone - and take care.

Lol Jac..... I have clothes still with price tag and labels attached to them... often bought at the start of a season, and then.... *sob* too small by the time the season set in... and one is always going to slim into them, isn't one? lolol
My weight increased over the space of a few years... in 2000 I was a size 12 to 14, depending on the make or cut, and was told by the fellas I worked with... well, they voted my rear the best bum in the place I had been working in the previous year, lol... and there were quite a few teenagers who were very put out by that, I can tell you ***HUGE GRIN**.... by last summer I was hugely bigger, lol.. I put on about 12 pounds a year... nothing I did would shift it. I gave up in the end... and still put it on at exactly the same rate as when I was dieting, walking, going to the gym (that was flaming torture!!) borrowing friends' dogs when mine had passed away..... you know the sort of thing!!
I lost 3 stone with the treatment (wouldn't recommend it as a weight loss regime, lol) and was still losing it until last week. Very slow loss, but good (another 31/2 stone to go to get me out of the danger zone... not to skinny, but to just inside the weight range for my height).
Then, I was put onto my BP drugs again last week.... I was taken off them cos my BP plummeted to non-existent while I was in the last time... and I have already put on a little... but so far that is in puffiness and water retention. I will prove to my GP yet, that my weight gain is to do with those blinking pills!!
I have a trouser suit with a matching skirt, somewhere........ we could start a fashion revival, Jac!! Mind you, I don't think it would fit me now....... I think it is in the loft...... *frets*
Ann, shall I pop my ironing up as well? lol
Well... I am off for yet another nap... all my wonderful plans have gone out the window, as I am poleaxed again!! Still, each time, I do more before I am knackered, and recover more quickly, so that is progress!
See you all later.
Love

what I can't work out is I can clear my wardrobe and fill a charity bag, then a week or so later i can do it all over again, is it breeding in there. sorry daff, he is not here to do it now, the golf course called!!
I wish you would prove that your weight gain is due to BP tablets, I am convinced that first HRT and then BP tablets contributed to me going up from a size 12 to a size 16!!!!

Lol Ann - I'd second that. I took HRT tabs for about a year and a half and put on loads of weight, which has remained - then of course the BP tab. (the first of which made me pee for England) but still the weight remained - I used to be size 12 but now encroaching the 18 (just my age - NOT).
I do tend to lose a bit in the summer (but I dont want to take a leaf out of Daff's book - no way Jose!!!) but hardly likely to drop two dress sizes! Hold on - have I got a dress? I'll check in a minute.
I'm having a breather cos I've only done the bottom of the wardrobe where I keep my shoes!!!! All shoe-boxed up and labelled - that's OK until I'm in a rush one day and the box labelled Red Loafers ends up with a pair of black killer heels in it!!!! 18 pairs at last count and I need them all - Imelda Marcos eat yer heart out!
I think the heavens have just opened their gates, cos it's crashing like fury here - must tell St Peter to get some WD40 on them gates!!!
I shall go now and divest myself of various rainments no longer required - anybody want a shell-suit? bright pink, hardly worn!!
Bi for now

Lol Jac... I have one of those, too, and a lilac one (shell suit)... what about fluorescent orange, pink and yellow leggings and t shirts????
Jac, I did a clearout of my *posh* shoes about 18 months ago...... kept one or two that had real sentimental value......... I handed over a bagful of over 20 pairs of Gabor shoes and boots! I have loads still, and some now fit me again, well they did til I started getting puffed up again.... I have 3 pairs of brown ankle boots, 3 pairs of black ones, two pairs long boots in brown, 3 pairs of black (most don't fit around my calf, but you never know????) I have at least 8 pairs of toe-post sandals, a pair of red shoes, cream ones, brown croc (genuine imitation) black peephole court (son's wedding, they killed me, but can't part with them) three black court (all too tight now) One VERY SPECIAL pair of black suede gabor with gold spots on them... wore them to Buck House.... burgundy and gold Gabor.. love the colour but now too tight... black suede slingbacks (were very comfy, can still wear them, but can't walk in them as they are so high... how the flippin heck I danced until dawn in them just 10 years ago, beats me!!)
Gold Italian kid sandals... wore them for our vow renewal in 2000..... they are so high, too!!
OMG.. I am going to have to go and have a look... I don't think I have a single pair of navy shoes left!! Anyone want to go shopping for shoes with me? I am a nightmare, I can assure you... hence the Gabor... I used not to even need to try them on, I knew they would fit me, and they wore and wore. When I was a slimmer girlie, lol
Tuts at Ann.... you know we have the same syndrome, Ann....... we just have to buy..... we fill the spaces back up again without even trying very hard..... These items just call to us as we pass by!!
I wasn't going to buy a thing yesterday... but my niece keeps finding things I like......... I have a beautiful top... Wallis, lol... ages since I could get anything to fit me in Wallis, lol........ now I need to find somewhere to wear it......... a bit special, this top! Well... I didn't find it... she saw it as we were walking past... just come in and was being put on the racks... dived in, snatched it off said rack and waved it at me triumphantly.
*Not your colour at all*, I said to her grumpily... well, it wasn't, and I was jealous, cos it really is/was my colour/s.... *not for me you nitwit*..these youngsters just do not know how to address the older generation, now do they? No respect! *They are your colours, this has your name written all over it* *put it back right now* I muttered, even more grumpily....... *you know it won't fit*
*Aunty Ann* says she, dripping saccharine and patience, and stressing each syllable ever so slightly... *you have lost weight, and this is your size... now, are you going to buy it or what?*
Well.... I was at that til, grabbing necklace and earrings to go with it on the way... deed done, sold to the tubby one in black!! Lol
I got my own back.... loads of tops, trousers and cut-offs, necklaces and earrings to match....... well, they were far too heavy for me to cart around, weren't they? And it was all her fault, anyway! So there!
Well, I am definitely now off for a nap... R will be home in about 2 to 3 hours, so I'll get one in quickly!
Love

I am a ruthless thrower outer! I have four pairs of shoes, one pair of boots, a few bits of clothes and lots of knickers as I seem to hold on to them for some reason...
Sorry about the drips over thread...have just been ASSAULTED by hailstones the size of ice cubes!! Never seen anything like it. My dog is cowering under the stairs again and I think my lovely tomato plants have been MURDERED!! lol
Just going to dry out.....

Lol BC - me mum always said to "hold on to your knickers" - pmsl
I have decided, after much pondering, that what's in the wardrobe stays in the wardrobe! JD!! (job done).
There WILL be an occasion to wear that vintage black evening jacket, encrusted with the most marvellous blue and turquoise bugle beads I just know it!! It will be OK if I take out the shoulder pads and breathe in a lot. Morrison's here I come!!!
Daff - Gabor boots - to die for!!! I have black and brown and will not wear them if it looks like rain, sleet or snow - or even if it's frosty really. Really limits when they can be worn - pmsl
I have found two pairs of OH's trousers to throw out, which leaves me a little more space to hang up something of mine that was previously hanging outside the wardrobe)))))))
I shall whip open the wardrobe door night as we go to bed and say "TAAAA DAAA - see, it's sorted" and see what response I get!
Have a good evening folks - rain and thundering stuff seems to have passed over - probably on its way elsewhere (BC's way by the seem of it). Horrible for pets I know, cos it reminds them of fireworks. My Jackson is an outside boy, and he doesnt bother at all (but he did have to fend for himself for 18 months of so, so I guess he got used to just about everything then - poor little baby. His ears bear witness to his "fighting spirit" cos he has about 3 splits in each one.
Anyone know if they do plastic surgery on pussy cats?
Take care

BC, my sister is too... she keeps threatening me with an overhaul, lol... she is just sooooo ruthless!!
Fancy hanging onto yer knickers!! I would not, of course do such a thing!! *whispers, well, I have tucked some size 12, 14, 16 and 18 away just in case I should ever need them, lol*
I love new knicks, but can never bring myself to throw away the tatty ones, well, I do eventually, but they have to go through a process, ie, moved from knicker drawer to nice box on top of wardrobe, then to underbed drawer in our room, to underbed drawer in spare bedroom, to plastic bag in spare room wardrobe, to bin... whole process takes about a year... at least! I do hope your poor doggie stops cowering soon, bless her!! And your poor tomato plants!! I do hope they are ok... could we sue God, do you think??
Lol Jac, I was quite cavalier about my boots.... one pair were so comfy that I even wore them to the old racecourse... walking the dogs!! And mowing the lawn, etc... they always polished up a real treat! Well, they still look good, and I bought them in the late 70's, they haven't dated at all. The others were from our second tour in Germany, in the early 90's, but still brilliant. I got rid of the quirky ones... but they'll be back in fashion soon, if they are not now. Heels were rather high, though!! Wonder if your oh notices that he has even less space now you've had your erm, clear-out, lololol
Hiya Maz..... not sure what it is... but you may well be right!! The weather is pretty grim.... and clearing out gives more satisfaction than H********k, doesn't it? Even if you put it all back again, lol!! *glances at Jac and grins*

I love new knicks too and have the same problem with old ones. i.e., they live at the bottom of the knicker drawer and don't get thrown out. and socks, always wear socks with trainers and with the pair of Hush Puppies that I also wear a lot with trousers. Can't wear socks with elasticated tops so if I spot any with soft tops I have to buy a pair. the sock drawer is as full as the knicker drawer.
BC hope you have dried off and doggy is calm again and tomatoes have popped up again.

Morning all.... sorry I didn't say goodnight..... I found Alibi, lol... and it had two episodes of New Tricks, back to back... so I staggered up to bed when it had finished, at silly o'clock, and slept soundly until 7 am...Jethro woke me with his *mum I'm starving and there are prawns in the fridge* cry... so staggered downstairs, opened a sachet of Whiskers fish stuff... which he devoured after giving me a pathetic, hard-done-to stare... and then I went back to bed, lol... Just got up!
So, I am full of beans today..... the weather forecast looks ok.... I have some stuff being collected this afternoon by freecyclers, and a load of washing in the machine... stuff I have found which I can now wear again, lol
Hermie needs a really good brushing.... I think I'll start with him!! He loves it, and we brush him every day... but couldn't find the best brush for his fur, so he hasn't had a *deep clean* lol for a couple of weeks... his inner coat is now shedding and he is trailing it everywhere.... and I found where Princess Dynamo had posted said brush, yesterday...... Hermie is already rubbing his head and cheek against it!!
See you all later.

Well, do you think we may have a dry day?? cos it looked like we had a river running down the Rd,. yesterday! I hope it dries up, cos the hedges and grass really need haircuts now!! Morning Daff and Taff:-) Just back from a very long walk in the park with my doggie and hairdresser...as you do:-). I grudgingly allowed him to accompany me..lol... Saw the new Memorial for the victims of 7 July bombings..very beautiful and very moving. Had a coffee by the Serpentine and watched the ducks and geese.
Am off to do loads of washing and try and console battered plants on patio. The hailstones actually ripped into some leaves..tsk tsk..nature can be cruel!
A Happy Wednesday to you all.
