Oh Rita,

I would love one of your apple pies...are they home made ?

Hubby has made tea for me Rita., better leave some for the others !!

Shelly I am here for now........but anything can happen, when Hubby has itchy
feet...they start to look for bookings.LOL

Guess what ? I have just been to get a prescription at my doctors ,....and....
They are closed. notice saying government guidelines we have to close for a half a day .
I suppose its to do with the opening late at night surgery . that the government has enforced.
Oh well have to go and get it tomorrow.

Rita,

I always thought it was 2 weeks......it would be out of line with the government rules otherwise.

I would not accept it, tell your MP.

Hi everybody, I've been to a funeral today, one of my aunts died - not much point having the funeral if she hadn't!!

It's been freezing all day and we could hardly see 20 feet in front of us for the fog. Spent ages straightening my hair and the mist made it all curly again. I had a trilby on, so the top of my hair was dry and straight but the rest was wet and curly.

Rita the letters on this lappy (hubby's) are faded but I know where they should be, so it's ok. Mind you, he doesn't know where they should be and has to keep asking me.

Marilyn tell hubby he has to stay put for a while, he's got us all dizzy.

You still busy Shelly?

The cuppa Sue made went cold so I'll have to make a fresh one.

I'll have mine with one of Rita's apple pies.

Shelly I come from a massive family and go to funerals every other month. I always like to sit and listen to the tales the old ones have to tell, some of them are really funny. The aunt who just died was the one with the best memory.

No good taking a camera, it was at the crem, no headstones there.

I've just gone through 5 pages of Hot Matches and as usual - all my family from Durham and Northumberland have been matched with people from Canada and Australia.

Rita Report 15 Apr 2009 19:15

Pauline I should not say this but you did make me laugh when you said you went to your aunties funeral abnd not much point in having a funeral if she had not died. .
.

yes the pies were home made the man in the above flat gave me some rhubard this morning so I guess I will be making crumble tomorrow.

I told my daughter Marilyn that I thought we had been told the waiting time should be two weeks no longer. I think she has complained to the hospital and her doctor but they are not doing anything about it.

My doctors surgery closes wednesday afternoon, they have been doing this for a year now. so what ever happens you must not need to go to the doctors on a wednesday.
The thing is there are five doctors in this pratice as well as a lot of nurses , midwives, and others so they all get the half day off they dont work Saturdays or Sundays. But I would not like to do their jobs.

Shelly ,
I've already done that on the knicker thread .

Still bored.

Got a certificate today but cant go back any further as they were born in Ireland.
So I am stuck Stuck,STUCK with it..!!

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 15 Apr 2009 19:22

Rita,

I think the Idea about the Doctors surgery closing half day is because the surgery is going to open evenings to give the people that work during the day a chance to see the doctor.

I think I read it sometime ago....so they will still have to work their hours.
