I was doing something today and the thought flashed through my head'What would I do without Him' I have, until now, always thought it would be better for me to be the one left as I thought I would manage better than him. Why the sudden change?

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 10 Nov 2009 19:43

well Romeo and Juliet it ain't but he does make me go weak at the knees and it ain't arthritis!!! I've suggested an emergency appointment at Specsavers but he says beauty is in the eye of the beholder - he has all the chat - he walks the walk and he talks the talk!!!!

I found the first year of married life the most difficult. We had lots of arguments, but I think that was to do with living with someone and getting used to each others ways lol.We gradually blended and fell into comfort.Does that make sense?

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 10 Nov 2009 18:45

daft I know, but I feel like a teenager again

Ann, that is lovely for you.I have been married now for nearly 29 years.I never thought I could be with one person for that long.I have surprised myself lol
There must be something there still even though he drives me nuts sometimes.I know I do the same to him.

oh Starr my love, know where you are coming from - mine was taken too young too early, and like you say, they live on in your heart forever

I could never imagine I would ever consider anyone else, and no one could ever take his place, but I have moved on in the last year and feel comfortable now - thanks Ann, it's nice to have a hug and a cuddle again - he's a Gloucestershire man you know!!!!

Starr1 that is sad, but at least you have the memories of those wonderful years.

AnnGG, so pleased that you have found somebody to hug.
