We'd go down to a shady nook
And use a bent pin for a hook
We'd fish all day
We'd fish all night
But the dogone fish refused to bite
Then we'd Slide and slide
Down some old cellar door
Slide and slide
Til our pants got tore
Then we'd have to go home
And stay in our beds
While mother got busy
With the needle and thread
O boy
What joy
We had in those bare foot days

oops, am I wandering
