Ive had a very mad moment today!!!!!!

We collected our dinner service we had as a wedding present from John Lewis and there was so much there ive bought a new dinning table!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets just say ive owned my own homes now for nearly 20 years - to give you an idea of my age - ive only ever owned one new dinning table all the rest were second hand (and bloody good too).

But today I spent no I cant say ......... anyway a brand new dinning table in reclaimed ash that has two extending leaves so we can seat all 12 to match our new dinner service if need be!

A mad moment a very mad moment!!! I saw it fell in love and showed it to OH expecting him to talk me out of it!!!!

He said ................ well its nice and a better investment than having money sitting in the banks at the moment - lets dip into our savings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


PS I didnt buy the chairs to match though - I am still sane - they were a hundred quid each and our chairs are perfectly good!!!!!

Too bloody right ..well done you and the banks dont need it anyway
