Its an interesting question though. Not necessarily about regrets, but wondering what might have happened if you'd chosen this instead of that...

If you could return back to that day
Would you wish that you could say
Sorry for those hurtful things I said
I wish I had just shut up instead.

If you could return back to that day.
Would you now get up and walk away.
Do you regret those things you done
Wishing that it had never begun.

Would you do things a different way.
Be more patient not lose the plot
Now wishing that it could be forgot

Could you honestly look at yourself and say
I would do all those things all over again
Knowing now it causes you pain.

We cannot turn back time as if we could
But if was so it would be so good.
But times a great healer we know this is so
Make up with that person and give it a go

Stella...not so much regrets...i don't usually do those......more an awareness of poor timing in an action... if i had done in November what I did several months later...things might have been very different lol

but could only have one day
I would reach back just 2 years ago
and This is what I'de say

I know you have to leave me
that your end on earth is due
but I could not let this final day go by
without my words for you

Each and every day I phoned you
just to let you know I cared
each day we had a memory
of which we once had shared

You reminded me of childhood folly
I reminded you of fun
You said I gave you grey hairs
I laughed as I got none

We had 5 months to remeniss
To talk of times we'd had
At the end of every phonecall
I finished Love You Dad

At the end of every phone call
You said you loved me too
and I gathered all the memories
That I hoped would see me through

But when that final day arrived
I never got to say
Farewell to you my lovely Dad
I will send my love each day.

No-I've learnt from every mistake & if you changed things past you may be missing out on the friends etc you have.

Well it's actually a cup of tea at the moment, Rose but I will get there later;)

I'm the same at the moment. It's been a funny old year and now Autumn is here I am getting all maudlin which has been compounded by a couple of deaths so I am a right bundle of laughs;))

Sos Stella no need to sniff I wrote it for my Dad but can smile at the memories I collected
