you will find it under chipping ongar on the map (there is high ongar too but chipping ongar is the one refered to as ongar)

went there on friday with my youngest two and took some pics of the churches there

i had nothing else to do when i 1st started. it was back when i couldnt even raise my arms and my youngest son had to bath me etc. so i just laid in bed got myself a lap top and bingo here i am

did you know ongar workhouse is still standing, it is a huge building. When i was a kid it was a flag factory l think

i dont know, but the old wokhouse is on London road between ongar and abridge in a little hamlet/village called stamford rivers

oh blow me, i have just been looking at the epping workhouse, and one of the buildings that was part of the work house is the office where i work lol and i never knew

not far from M25, come off at waltham abbey, head up to epping roundabout (old oreleans pub is there)

go straight over towards theydon bois, go all the way through theydon bois and out the other side til you come to abridge. turn left at abridge and keep going til you reach a roundabout. take the first exit signposted ongar and the workhouse is on that road on the right hand side in stamford rivers. keep going and you come to ongar. there is a carpark there by the library on the right after the parking on the road
