CRIPES_A_MIGHTY Report 10 Aug 2008 16:56

I matched up my aunts and uncle..names and birth dates..to the same couple....BINGO!
So I knew there names then looked them up.
I needed the birth cert to confirm for sure...and BINGO!..again..the names I got from my search..matched those on my fathers birth cert..
simple really. :)

Once I had her name, I looked for a birth date in the right area to match the name. :)

Paul, if you have found her name and birth date can I ask why you have not sent for her birth certificate?

CRIPES_A_MIGHTY Report 10 Aug 2008 17:03

Cross referencing with aunts and uncle names and dob's.....They were all born to the same couple..in the same place at the right times.
Common sence told me I had found my granparents.
All I needed was to find the names I had on a birth cert for one of thier kds..my dad..and BINGO!..

I have sent for them...but they gonna take 2 weeks to get to me...was hoping to do some searching while Im waiting..other wise its a wasted 2 weeks!
If i can get a name to go on..I can do some advanced searching..if it turn out incorrect..then no probs..gives me something to do..BUt if what i turn up is correct..then I have got info already..and so can move on faster! :)

make sence?

Can find alot in 2 weeks..I should know..ive been amazed at what ive found out about my family!..I truely knew nothing much of them. :)

AnninGlos Report 10 Aug 2008 17:12

Well, I don't think it will take two weeks. My certs have only taken a week lately. And it would be easier to find her on the 1901 if we had parents names. That is the only way to find siblings. so far no luck though. I am wondering if they called her Daisy when they baptized her then called her Lilian afterwards.

I wonder if our coachman ancestors died outside London, being a coachman, a petrol head of the Victorain times, they might have been on a run outside London and suddenly fell ill or had an accident as a coachman?

I wonder if they emigrated or were sent abroad??? My George Coombs would have been about 40 in 1830.

It would be very good to find their burials but we might have to try outside of London area. Wonder if NBI might have anything?

Ben, I suspect my coachman may have died in Brighton as he was taken ill there is 1832, I have a letter from his employer to his wife telling her he was ill. But I can't fins his death in Brighton either. Then or later!
