Margaret, I am hoping that wasnt' a serious remark.

However if it is, you have no idea how 'badly' off McAnne might be and I really think that is a rather harsh statement to make if you know nothing about a person. Yes there is always someone worse off, but we also all have a limit of tolerance to situations, and those situations could be borne cheerfully for years, but something, maybe even a small thing, can tip the balance and leave you feeling debilitated.

People do have a right to feel down, or to have a bad day, without fear of criticism from those who dont' understand.

(((((HUGS))))) McAnne xx

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 5 Aug 2008 12:30

Thanks TW :O)

Through my gob-smackedness, i was just trying to muster some appropriate words......

Yes there is always someone worse off than ones self, but that doesn't make any individuals worries/problems etc any less important or distressing to that person .............

I know i am luckier than some - but unfortunately i am prone to depressive dips - i don't have a particularly fulfilled or happy life - and people who dismiss depression out of hand as acknowledged illness are frankly just ignorant and uncaring - sorry but i bite back when bitten!!

I hope that if ever Margaret has to go through a particularly trying period in her life she finds that people are not so rude and dismissive, and downright offensive, lacking understanding, as she has just been.

Back to work, just about ready to take on some rude customers now LOL

Don't get het up Teresa luv - not worth wasting your energy ........

We each know what we have been or are going thru in our own lives and that's what matters - that we know we are not 'wingeing and moaning' and if we are then it's not over nothing............... xxx

Hi McAnne,

I haven't spoken to you before. That's the spirit-you bite back when bitten! That's a good first step-getting
angry-now get passionate about something you love doing, that will get your mind off the depression, and lift your spirits.Do you have any particular things/ activities that you have always wanted to do,and never have got around to? Now would be a good time to do that thing,or those things. You are a unique, wonderful person, don't ever feel that you are worthless.Change the situation you are in,if you can.

I am so glad that you are feeling better.

Lots of hugs,(((((((((((((((()))))))))))))

Margaret - at top of page 4 - I, too, do hope that was said with humour.
Whoever invented the phrase "pull yourself together" should be shot.
OK, there are people worse off, but that certainly isn't a constructive comment, is it!

*adjusts knickers, now in a twist*

(((HUG))) for Our Anita, who's always there with a sympathetic ear for anybody.
