*slaps Anita for bad thoughts in first place*

Right Mrs.... get yourself on a course of some sort.... whether its a vocational or fun thing it doesn't matter...... it will just get you out of the house once a week and meeting people! I still have my ice skating lessons and there are lovely people doing that! Think of something you enjoy and go for it!

I'm glad you're feeling a little better today, be extra nice to yourself and make that GP appointment asap, medication takes a little way to take effect so sooner started the better.

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 5 Aug 2008 08:09

Morning everyone

Thank you all so much for your kind words of support yesterday.

And thank you Liz, for the phone call, it was sweet of you and lovely to finally talk to you.

I was busy last night as Liz has hinted - setting up my new PC which has been sat waiting since middle of last week lol - not sure i have it all right yet, but hey!

Anyway - thank you yes, i'm feeling a lot better today, altho very very tired, i felt the cloud lifting around 4pm almost 24 hours from when it started.

Had 2 further calls after Liz (like buses, none for weeks and then 3 come together lol)

........... and then i was late up waiting on little Millie puss (who got beaten up and she ran off at 11pm)

Today should be okay - i feel a bit brighter and therefore i will be interacting at work as normal, unlike yesterday, and that means i will have some laughs and i know that's a great cure :O)

I will be getting myself back to my GP as soon as because i can't go on like this every month.

But thank you again - i can't say any more than that xxx

Anne

In your darkness you may have forgotton how much Joy and help you bring to people in here too. Its not only your cats that will miss you.

Nana Lynns thread had a very intersting thought today:

You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. !!!

Chin up girl, remember you can see those trees planted by my Grandad from where you are and it makes me happy to know that even though I am so far away other people can see them and he therefore lives on.

Hope you feel brighter soon. Heres a bag of hugs - take one when you need it :)

Anne, hope when the kitchen finally gets done you can enjoy it, are the cats enjoying the chaos lol

Get the old RR out and or get that Passiflora stuff I told you about, I am getting some more cos I ran out, it helps keep the emotions a bit more under control, the weepiness doesn't manifest itself so much.
Big hugs hon,
Lizxxx

Hi Liz

Well first thing it was an effort even to speak to anyone when i got to work - sat cursing the ringing phone waiting for me to answer

I'm the same with summer passing - i did it on saturday - ' only 4 months to xmas' ..... and yes am still taking the 5htp - 2 a day

kitchen has slowed cos we've hit the sink area & worktops and it's not been such plain sailing - the house is in turmoil & chaos too which isn't helping

i have a new pc sat in the box still waiting to be set up - can't be bothered tho

Ann - i will - promise :O)

Hi Anne, I am sure that the advice you have had on here is good advice. both that of going back to your Doctor and that of Elaine and Liz Purple. I have never used rescue Remedy but all the people who use it can't be wrong. Maybe you need a combination of all of it plus the chocs. It sounds as if it has all caught up with you starting from when your plans to move went pear shaped.

Like Liz I am interested in how your new kitchen went and are you pleased with it? Maybe buying something for that will cheer you a bit, a bright picture. Actually I fortunately don't suffer with depression but I do get 'down' days. I usually find buying something unnecessary like a magazine helps to lift the mood a bit, or a new nail varnish, nothing expensive.

Hope you feel better soon and the black cloud lifts for you.

she'll be fine if only she goes to her GP

By the way, with clinical depression such as I have, I always had a smile on my face, no one had any idea how I was feeling - and I was working in a psychiatric hospital at the time and my boss and my colleagues were all trained qualified psychiatric nurses - it;s a hard one to spot

LadyBarbara

LadyBarbara Report 4 Aug 2008 14:25

I've only ever suffered mild depression once a long time ago, I couldn't believe how bad I felt and could cry for nothing, even hanging the washing on the line.

It went a few weeks later, just like that and has never recurred, so I only have a small inkling of what you're going through, but you battle on Anne, you've got a lot of friends on here, wishing you well.

love Barbara
