A friend of mine is pregnant (not by me !!!) & is wondering if many sicky days in a row means a boy or girl.

Would like to hear the views of you experienced ladies.

make sure she's drinking plenty of fluid, i was preggers this time in 2006, heat can get to you, also iff she's really sick not just feeling sick and its all day, feeling very tired, go to dr's, i had hyperemises with both my boys......... totally drained, couldnt do anything.. not even wash had an adversion to water, it is a condition and is really not reconised and misdiagnosed.... but it does pass once babys born, but you have upto 40 weeks of it.... :(
please take care, and iff diagnosed can pm me anytime. xxxx

Hi Malcolm

I just had my first baby - never sick at all and it's a darling baby girl... not sure if this helps but i was advised to eat ginger biscuits if i got sick...apparently it works very well.

Good luck and here's to sleepless nights!

Hi Malcie

Shimmer was sick forever ......... ginger biscuits seemed to help, agree with Lynn.

Was worth every minute of sickness, had my miracle, a baby boy, 18 now.

Not sure whether that helps .........

I was fighting fit with the first a girl, but ill 3/4 of second pregnancy and it was a boy...

Ginger biscuits are ideal if feeling sickly.

Make sure your friend sees her midwife regularly for checkups and to tell them even the tinest thing even if it doesn;t seem important.

Good luck... she could always ask at her scans if they can see the sex of the baby.

I knew from my 12wk scan that I was carrying a boy.

My friend was sick all through her pregnancy and she had a boy........my daughter has two sons and was sick for a long time with both boys......she is due another baby, and stopped the sickness at 3 months so she hopes it is a baby girl this time....
