Tonsils wasn't it? used to give you ice cream in the 60's now I think its toast agggh

Glad to hear it went well for him.

Remember my aunt had her tonsils out as an adult and it was very painful.

I thankfully had mine out as a child and remember getting ice cream and dolly mixtures.

Much prefer that to toast if that is what they get nowadays.

I am so glad he is ok.
I had a bad experience in hospital when I had mine out as a child. Because I was upset and cried when my auntie left me the matron put me in the bathroom until I shut up. When I had calmed down I was allowed to come back out and have my tea which was horrible scrambled eggs. I was 7 years old.

Toast and crisps. I can't imagine them as soothing after having your tonsils out.
