And it's meant to be pleasurable too.... maybe that's why they they don't like the idea of it. Scared it will make them gay LOL

Men are the stronger sex physically but we women are the superior species by being mentally stronger. And dont they just hate it! lol

And dont the men hate the idea of the doc doing the finger up you-know-where? When you think of the things the doc does to us, well, who is the stronger sex? Braver, anyway.

ROFLMAO

"what do you mean I can still do the ironing... I never did it before... are you saying prostate cancer makes me a blinky woman?"

Yup, works for me :-))
PMSL

(I should add that I'm by no way belittling prostate cancer or other serious illnesses but I believe humour helps us face difficult times in our lives with strength and positivity)

I forgot, my brother actually bought him a mini golf set for his birthday (really mini...think finger size LOL)

LOL, Ann, I have a degree in Physiology... it's not just men's bits :-O PMSL.

I dunno why the golf, maybe it's the whole active thing, but I like your 'golf' ball idea better *titters* It still entertains us now. When he was given the all clear when the biopsy came back we told him he had to be gutted that he wouldn't be able to play golf now LOL. We had to laugh or we would have cried, it was the day after mum had her mastectomy for breast cancer that he was told he had prostate cancer. A sad time but we all laughed a lot through it.

Oh and mastectomy bra shopping...what fun that is :-))

I do like that description of Active DD - illustrates it a treat

And thanks Summer for the biology lesson - I had no idea - you are very knowledgeable about the workings of men's paraphernalia

Why a man playing golf I wonder? Anything to do with golf balls maybe?

Incidentally, when my dad was first told he had prostate cancer (which he was then later told he didn't have) they gave him a booklet of a man playing golf.

It became a standing joke in our family that men with prostate cancer were automatically given a set of golf clubs and the ability to play golf LOL.

Oh Ann.... LOL... it's a walnut sized gland that men have. It has a couple of uses, hormones and the fluid that is added to semen to make ejaculate. Most older men have a problem with it and when it gets enlarged it presses on the urethra.

The way a doctor checks on the prostate is by palpating it via the rectum.

(Some times I know too much! LOL)

Ohhhh I'd just love to see the advert for an enlarged prostate.

"Do you visit the loo 20 times a day? Do you find it hard or painful to actually pee even though you're busting? Perhaps you find yourself only able to pee sitting down? Well, relief is at hand...."

*Giggles manicly* (all symptoms taken from me poor ol' dad's suffering)
