ECONOMY - well bless my soul! Thats dreadful. Do they not want any tourists over there these days ?

Have a wonderful time both of you.

Just remembered something else -we were so used to just ambling across the main roads over there with no traffic that when we got back home was a bit of a shock and had to watch what we were doing lol.

Also a few years before had been cruising and met a Mills and Boon authoress on board who happended to live on the Isle of Man. She signed a first edition book for me as a gift.

Gosh I must go to bed !
Night night all
See you tomorrow.

I think thats where we stayed in Douglas - its been a long time since we went.

We had some wonderful homemade soup on the Calf of Man - a little (then) cafe type place - even now I can imagine it. Also we had a lovely milky coffee's over there as well -something I would not normally have.

The hotel we stayed at (which I could remember) were very good to us, we were at the back of the hotel with no view except the walls of the next buildng and I happended to catch a rather nasty viral cold from one of the other passengers - so without extra cost they moved us to one of the best rooms of the hotel so that I had a view of the harbour and the room was twice as big.

Would like to visit there again but at that price for a plane ticket will leave it a while! lol

Hiya Wild Cat

Sorry missed your reply yesterday - yes it sure is a step back in time the Isle of Man.

A bit like Southern Ireland too.

Scenery is beautiful in fact I think if you go to the Calf of Man you can see Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England on a good day from a certain point.

I hope you have a very good time.

Who said it was a dear flight? How much? Least 55mins is better than the ferry journey. LOL

Going to Gumbet in Turkey.
So looking forward to it, haven't been to Turkey for about 5 years.
We love it because they welcome you with open arms & are so friendly. And it is so cheap.
Have done Kusadasi, Altinkum, Marmaris, Icmeler & Dalyan so far,
This time we have booked a 4* A/I hotel for £352 per week. Can't wait to get there, there is a Gym, fitness room, Jaccuzi, sauna & turkish bath.
