Gillie

I really appreciate the opportunity of being able to watch all of this but I complained because one of the staff kicked a ewe in labour and a newborn.
It seems to have been a one off but it was horrible to watch at the time

Thanks Dawnie..................mine was identical to the one Jax got.

Gillie it was a female student with frizzy hair tied back at the nape of her neck, who lost her temper and kicked a ewe....................she was having trouble moving the new mum and lambs at the time, but it didn't excuse her behaviour.

Hi Dawnien and Devon,I am glad I didn't witness that behaviour but I'm glad someone did and mailed the college to tell them.
It's unusual for people that work with animals like they are with the lambing to have that sort of thing happen, the students that are learning about the farming are usually so dedicated, most odd that someone did this.
I apologise that you had to see someone kicking a ewe and lamb, I'm sure they have been severely reprimanded.

The guy in the blue overals is a fantastic guy, he is very gentle and obviously loves his job and is truly dedicated to the ewes and lambs and farming in general.

It seems there's always 1 bad apple in a group.

Dawnie on the day I was there it seemed that he was *in charge* I don't know if he is but he is usually the one going into the ewes to help them.

Gillie, i got really frustrated the other week when they left the sheep and lambs to long before separating them from the rest, one of the other sheep thought on of the lambs was hers she really bonded with it,it was heart breaking when they parted them, she was searching and crying for it for hours afterwards.

I'm sure that mummy has her own babies now lol.

Sue

Hope you get rid of your cold soon.

I hope this cold goes soon too!
