Yes, I am still here and keep looking at the Lambcam and the thread, but busy with my tree.

I have had a 'Silly idea'

If we ask Gillie to ask her Hubby if one of the students or farm workers would join GR? I will pay for their membership.

Then we could get them to give us a bit of a 'Running Commentary etc. etc. etc. As they are keeping watch on the Ewes.

What do you think?

Kitty, I just find it so interesting. It sure does take your mind of other things.

Gillie's Hubby must have told the staff and students at the farm that we are all watching. Who knows, they might be in someones tree, Lol.

Bet he said " Loads of mad Genealogists are watching'

No really, lets show how much we are interested and see if we can help the farm update their camera's so our children can see even more. At the end of the day, it is educational, even to a lot of adults.

I agree with you Jenny..................I've had a bad day today, but watching sheep is very soothing somehow.

Seeing a lamb born would be nice...........but it's good to have company while we wait.

They might like to keep an eye on this thread if someone joins as a free member first, then they could upgrade.

They must chew the cud like cows do, have to google and find out.

They are ruminants Kitty and yes they are chewing the cud.

The food goes into the 1st stomach, the rumen, and when they sit down and relax they regurgitate and chew, it then goes into the true stomach.

Eeewwww......................don't think I want to come back as a sheep!!

It is educational though....................I was raised on a farm, dairy and wheat, no sheep, so have found this really interesting.

Night night Joy.......sleep tight.

Right going to ask a serious question now.

I have read that the baby is in the Ewes Udder.

Have you noticed when the Ewe has her back to us, that some udders have a 'crease like a bum'
But some are just like a balloon???
Could this tell us when the Ewe is about to give birth or is it just the way the baby is lying?

Jenny. ( trying to be intelligent now,) Lol. x
