Ohhhh aint I clever!!!!

This take me back to the first time my Daughters went to florida and were caught up in Hurricane Charlie or was it the one after that??

I was worried sick, they were holed up in their apartment for over 24 hours.

Those hurricanes certainly blow abroad Jenny :)

I think thats what worries me a little as Anna and Mike spend time in the Carribean and have been out there in hurricane season at times. They would think nothing really of 80 mph winds here, not like dad here.

Hi Jenny tearful now.
Going to upset you even more. I have a caravan, still, at Brynowen. Have been living in it during summer months for last 5 years, since retiring. Av bin renting a house, on sea front just about 15 to 20 metres from sea front, for the past 5 winters.
Yes it is a relatively high tide tonight, about 9.20pm ish here and thats high. 5.2metres to be precise ish. Highest in past 5 years has bee 5.7 metres.
Batten down the hatches????? I am told to just open back door and front door and hope for the best he he. Lol.
Do have an email address if you are interested Jennie.
Have fun tonight everybody!!!! BUT keep safe hey.

Christine, I am going to see if we can get to Borth again just for old times sake. It would be nice if we could meet up. Mum had a friend from staffordshire move there many years ago. I think her name was Thelma, she lived right on the sea front.

Thank you Colin, at the end of the day there would be nothing my grandson of 14 and myself of 60 could do if it hit us hard. Lovely concellation is that the folks around here are so thoughtful. It is like the communities that used to be.

Jennie, you would be quite welcome to stay at my caravan, it has 3 bedrooms. I am waiting to sign contracts for a 2 bed maisonette here in Borth before 20 March this year so am no longer staying in my caravan. Hopefully I will not have to move back in there when I leave here middle of April.
Have been at Brynowen since 1994 and did stay here when I was a teenager, year 196....... Somethings have changed. More fruit machines etc.
Take care. Christine
