Hiya B.C.,
there mighty quick little urchins, i've had them in my house now since september, every 3 1/2 weeks i get little babies jumping about which i catch in my home made cereal box and let them out at the bottom of the garden, i've been able to catch so far 27 babies and 9 adults, seeing as i'm getting to know them well now, i'm considering doing their ancestry...lol.

joan, they can sqeeeze under the door, they have very flexible spines, they can get through gaps as big as this zero 0,(just looked at this maybe a bit small but you get what i mean), i kid you not, after several months finding droppings everywhere in the house, i'm now finally over them, in desperation i got poison and put that down, it took 2 weeks but now their gone....
their clever little tykes, they climbed up my drain pipe and got in, then climbed up behind my boiler to upstairs, so they've been everywhere.....
totally discusting vermin...
put traps and poison...
wish i'd put the poison down now at the start, still its over now...
take care.

If a mouse can get through a key-hole - narrow squeak.
I,m lucky, when my wife comes into the room all our mice jump on to the chairs.

Happy days

Frances in Norwich Report 4 Feb 2008 22:22

I saw a mouse in our lounge last year and absolutley freaked! I called the council but they couldn't come out to us for a couple of days and I wasn't prepared to wait that long, so called out a private firm.
A man came round that morning and said he couldn't see where it had got into the room, so put poison under the floorboards and left. I decided to hoover every available surface and while I was cleaning out under the cushions of the sofa the little b****r ran out from under the settee. I screamed (long and hard, I can tell you) and grandaughter, who was in the room with me screamed longer and harder - it must have frightened the little devil to death! No.2 daughter helped me seal all the outside pipe holes with expanding foam (that was fun) and we haven't had any sign of him since - and believe me I have kept a close eye on things.

I don't care if they are cute and furry to some people - to me they are vermin and I don't want them in my house - ughh!

Hope you get rid of them BC - don't be squeamish, get the poison.

Coming back to your thread before bed BC

I've been remembering a time when we were at Dad's house,It was a sad time as he was then in the early days of Dementia.
He always kept telling us he was hearing a mouse running about! we kept saying no,don't think so, or we'll have a search, kind of humouring him.

Well a few days later sister and I were doing some housework there, I lifted the cushions on the settee and let out a scream...lol ... sitting upright, stiff as a board was a tiny dead mouse!!! looking at me!! he must have been trapped.......and no peanut butter in sight ;O)

Dad had been right all along, he always had good hearing bless him.

Good night........hope you sleep well!
Mau xx

No BC.... you're meant to throw the maltesers, bread, kit kat and peanut butter in other peoples gardens to lure them away from yours. Hopefully to a neighbours with a cat lol.

Kez are you sure there was that many of them and it wasn't the same ones getting evicted each time? lmao.
