Janet came up with some interesting facts but I disagree it is actually very easy to 'sex' a mouse...if it has its mouth open its bound to be a girl mouse...hope that helps

You really have my sympathy BC, I've had mice since before Christmas. Caught about 8/9 now, I've had the humane traps down, the plug in things and they are still blinking here!!! I resorted to poison last week and thought that had resolved the problem, but I dropped a piece of dog biscuit in the dining room and decided to leave it there overnight to see what would happen. Surprise, surprise the next morning it had disappeared. Just the thought that they are in the house makes me cringe. If you find a better solution than I have please let me know!!

When we lived in an old victorian house in London in the 60's, newly married, I once cooked a whole dinner wearing wellies and stepping from chair to chair which were placed around the room.

My OH came in and thought he had married a madwoman lol

Thank you all for your support (I think)! and first of all concerning Lou and the boys, they were standing still so its ok. Have just bleached the bejasus out of patio and sadly taken in all the bird feeding stuff. The rest...you dont want to hear....BC XX

Aww little mices! I like them, when I was young I used to breed white ones! .........well when I say 'breed' I mean the pets sometimes escaped, and when I caught them I usually ended up with more. lol

BC ....You can't kill Mickey and Minnie and think of their children....orphans!!

aww BC i do sympathize i am so scared of them, and rats, i shudder even saying the word

a little story, i had taken chloe my youngest to school one day and was talking to one of her friends grandmas, she was going into town , so was i so walked with her, we had to go through the local park, ( well known for its rats as people always feed the ducks )
i said i would rather walk the long way round because if i saw one i would go to peices , but she said its ok Lynn, put your arm in and close your eyes if necessary

so i did, i was shaking like a leaf, and i opened my eyes at one point and saw something out of the corner of my eye and instantly jumped in the air and started screaming,
well the poor old woman nearly had a heartattack,
she jumped and screamed and we both just stood there petriffied and screaming like mad women

it wasnt a rat or a mouse but an empty pack of cheese and onion !!!!!!

i never have lived it down

i love all animals but rats and mice i just cant cope with,
