Let's think 1969........................I was a teenager and there was a pop festival in a field near us.

Not in Ferring, but really near................I was babysitting for the farmer and sat in the farmhouse with a 12 bore shotgun, in case anyone came in!!

Thank goodness no-one did.....................*shudders*

Mungo Jerry played live and the whole area was filled with a sickly sweet smelling smoke....................probably incense or something :))

There were lots of bikers about too.............my sister...a bit of a wild child ...was locked in her room all weekend while Mum stood guard!! lol

There were loads of hippies living in the local area...............some had been there for months, so would have arrived in the summer of '69

Now moon landings.........*thinks* I know there was some talk of it all being a hoax, but we watched it an a television my uncle lent us ......we didn't have one at the time.
