THe occupation of his father on the marriage certificate says he was a labourer as was William. |

Just for clarity; the Registration District of MIDHURST covers part of Sussex, and up to 1844 the part of Hampshire containing North Ambersham and South Ambersham. So up to 1844 describing Midhurst as in the Countries of Sussex and Southampton would be correct. |

If it's come typed from GRO, then the likelihood is that the original is not very clear. |

If it's typed then it must be a copy of the original. The original would have been handwritten. |
