I have found the family of Ursula burniston, Its not my Burniston family sadly. so that scuppers that one! maybe I will have to resign myself to the fact that we will probably never find them!

It was the 1871 census Julie, yes I saw that birth but obv with no census info I cant say if that is her or not, I do really appreciate you looking, thank you! xx

I can't remember which census you found the girls in Ealing

I said i'd tell you what the birth cert for Beatrice says, so this is what I got from that:

Born on 20th May 1858 at 3am: BEATRICE BURNISTON (twin).
address: 1 Sidwell place, Lambeth

Father: WILLIAM HENRY BURNISTON, occ: Ostler.

mother: ELIZA SOPHIA BURNISTON formerly BARFOOT.

guess what? cant find a marriage for William and Eliza, cant find them on 1861 or 1871 census either, so I'm no further at all really! would be grateful if some lovely person could please help me? im really going bonkers now lol.

no, no earlier children as far as im aware. the 1891 census looks doubtful now as Julie found a marriage for a betsy and Edward, and that Betsy definitely isnt mine! so really I only have the 1901 to go by.
