stockport to cheadle....any tips?

Cheadle is only about 4 miles from Stockport & both places are just south of Manchester |

oh thanks claire...i thought i was going doolally then....right ..so thats the whole of the family that i have on record.....i m stuck on the coxons....where are they in 1805 ,marthas birth..and why did they marry in cheadle...i have to admit,i thought cheadle was a district of manchester,i didn`know it was staffordshire....allan |

thankyou both...i have to say,that i`m a little green in situations like this,and would value both your opinions....martha and her sister were born in stockport in 1805 and 1808...marthas husband ,joseph allcock was born in stockport..THEIR children were born in stockport...why would martha and joseph marry in CHEADLE...i can only presume the family moved to cheadle....am i wrong to presume this?...if i`m right,then this family in cheadle(the ONLYcoxons in cheadle in 1841.) has to be marthas family....regards..allan...just added..do these children look too young to be james and sarah`s children...more like grandchildren...sarah would have to be 51 at youngest`s birth??...allan |
