If anyone has a birth certificate for someone who was adopted and it gives the name of the Registrar next to the word adopted can they add it below. It would be great if we could work out where that Registrar was because then we would probably find what area an adoptee went to. Just an idea that could help people seeking others. |

Leyton, when was you father born? Adoption only became possible in 1927. Prior to that things were much more informal. |

My birth certificate has an official stamp on it next to the Registrar's signiture, showing i was adopted in Bristol East |
