Havent told aunty yet or my dad as both of them thought it was Collins.. but it doesnt seem to be the case though!

The next steps are deffo to get Rose(edith's mom) and Thomas's marriage cert so i can find out who Rose's dad was and for Thomas too.

Have receieved birth certicate for Edith Dormer...... and on it it says

Her Father was Thomas Edward Dormer

Her Mother was Rose Dormer. Maiden name Johnson.

So now I know her father was defineley Thomas Dormer.

I have had a reply from my aunty who says that Edith's dad was Albert Collins.

Have searched and searched without any luck!

Am looking for a marriage between Rose Johnson and Albert Collins.

Hi Finding the death for Thomas has been difficult. Spoke to my dad today and he doesnt really know much just said that edith had a complicated life when she was younger but didnt say what sort of life though. So I have told my dad to get her birth certicate for me and find out more from there. I believe she is deffo born edith dormer and also the siblings names match with edith's mom maiden name. Clare's dad and siblings all have Dormer as MMN. Beginning to look like she was born Edith Dormer. Rose

Hi Thats another question i need to ask my dad. About the death my dad remembered a few months ago that one child died aat about 4 but he couldnt remember the details... although i must admit.. i know a bit of rose.... margaret..... alfred........and florence but nothing on lilian so that probably what my dad was talking about is lilian. Edith's maiden name should be listed next to the births of her children. Have you checked those? Rose
