No, not yet (and I doubt if I will), but I did have a letter from one of my BOBY connections, who did an enormous amount of research before he died, saying he was waiting for confirmation that one HUGO DE BOBY was William the Conqueror's Huntsman! Trouble is, you get back to 1800 or so and it all become a bit tenuous, doesn't it? Can we ever really be SURE?

Her mother, aged 95, was as sharp as a tack and we knew her ancestors (named TITUS) sailed to the US from England a few years after the Pilgrim Fathers. Checking back led to connections with the VAUX and MONTAGU families and further back still we came to Edward, Prince of England and finally HENRY 11 and Eleanor of Aquitaine.
