This thread is one my favourite things about Genes Connected (or Genes Reunited as I undertand it is now called. London Ancestors Look at http://booth.lse.ac.uk/ If you search the poverty maps you can find what sort of street your ancestors lived in during the late Victorian period. It is absolutely fascinating. I have spent hours reading the discriptions and looking at the maps. It puts flesh on the skeleton of the Metropolis. |
