I did not know about this site until today, a contact told me to look on it, and bingo found my greatgrand mothers family tree not only that, found the maiden name of one of my g/g/granmothers which I have been seaching for, I needed cheering up tonight ANN |

I cannot understand it, I think I must be one of the unluckiest people. None of mine there. Not new for me, never can find anyone anywhere, even on this site no one wants to see my tree, no one has ever contacted me about connections only one person was interested in any of my names. I emailed one person very early on in starting my search they didnt bother to answer me. I am really feeling left out of everything. Actually feeling very sorry for myself today, must be something to do with hormones.LOL: Pat x |

I just got really excited on this site, I typed in my name (theres not many people spell it my way), and it appeared with spouse Living Wood, ex Hubbys surname, I thought who is this then with all this info, 'my' parents weren't listed so I thought it must be from my exes side, until I clicked on 'his' parents name, and it wasn't them, still gave me a bit of excitement for a few minutes, LOL! |

Louise, LOL. Some of the Names on my tree are: Holden, Evitts, Silvester, Piper, Hart, Johnson, Farrell, Devine, Hardman, Calland. The nightmare of them all my great grandmother Isabella Whilding (as she spelt it) and all the Wilding's I cannot find anywhere. Pat x |

Hello everyone, This site is free to upload your own tree by gedcom file. I did mine a while ago and I've found a new contact through it. I know theres a lot of americans on there but if we all put our british trees on too we might have a better chance of finding our relatives. Just a thought |

I put my tree on world connect a few months ago and have had a couple of notes of interest.I have put my tree or posted interests on lots of different sites,you never know which ones people look at.Try not to get disheartened Ann,I'd been doing my family history for 22 years before I got in contact with someone who was related-a 4th cousin.There are so many people doing it now that it's only a matter of time before you are contacted by someone.Just think of all the satisfaction you have from doing all the work yourself. I've found several of my ancesters on the site but I can't contact the people who entered them on the site to find out more in formation and tell them what I have, anyone know how to contact them, I've tried direct email but they have been returned. Thanks Cherryl |
