Good morning! If you go to www*kent*gov*uk, they have an online ordering facility by the look of it! They have links to different 'bits' depending on the area, i.e. Gravesend! Lou |

It normally tells you how/where to apply for a cert on the site where you found the reference. Christine |

The advantage of ordering from the local RO is that it's likely to be quicker. Also the local records are the source-data for the GRO lists and so may have records which got missed, and certainly are one transcription less (at that time). If you know the groom's name (or father's or whatever) you can specify that as a checking-term so you could pay £3 for them to look for, but not send, a wrong cert. You'd only pay the £7 if the info matched what you'd specified. Christine |

hi is there any chance she got married in Yarmouth as there is a Hannah Warford on 1837 married in the March quarter of 1844 there are also a lot of Wolfords on familysearch so maybe is was mistranscribed |

Hannah may well be there but mis-spelt. I had this the other week, could find my Joseph but when I went to check the corresponding spouse she wasn't there. Someone finally found her for me but her surname spelt like Bradshaw not Bradbury so she was on a totally different page! Lou |

Without buying the cert, you can't, unless you have an idea who she MIGHT have married to cross check the reference. Do you have any idea who her spouse was? Lou |

Karen She's not in the 1st part of 1843 or any of 1846 either. I'd be tempted to order the cert direct from the Register Office. Looking at their website they have an online ordering facility Lou |
