Dear Fern Could you see if there is anything on the family Meadle or Madle. I am specifically looking for information on Mary Ann Meadle/Madle born around 1784 in Hackney. Cheers Debbie |

I'm not sure if you will be able to find anything but I've the following Hackney based ancestors: Charles Harris born 1820 Susan Hardy born 1820 I'm afraid I've not been able to find their baptisms and so do not have their parents names but I wonder whether there might be and Harris or Hardy families around that might help. Many thanks Helen |

Thanks for my Clifford & Myers info, Fern. I've only just had time to get back onto the site to check threads. The gentleman won't be mine, I'm sure, but the poor ones might be! I'll have to look up thoses addresses now. Sue (in NZ) |

Hi Fern. My apologies for wasting your time. Penny Eves is my daughter. She forgot to tell me that she was contacting you about our SYRETT ancestor, and I forgot to tell her that I was going to send you a message. First time it has ever happened and hopefully it will be the last!!! Please forgive me. Alice |

Hi Irene, No sign of any Bishry sorry. Fern. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Alice, No sign of any Syrett, sorry, but there was a lady who also asked me to look up that surname. Might be worth contacting her as it is an uncommon surname. Her name is Penny Eves she can be found on page 2 of this thread, just click on her name and you can send her a message. Best of luck. Fern. |

Hi Leeanne, Parish Returns were like and done before Census Returns (I hope I'm right on that) they only list head of the houshold, where they lived and very rarely they listed the family members and it was up to the Parish to conduct them. This is what I can remember other people saying I'm not 100% right about it. The best chance to find out any information about William is if you find marriage records, birth records and death records at the churches in Hackney. I hope that helps. Fern. |

Fern, could you look up any Eveson/Evison/Everson to see if you can find any with Joseph as the head. 1811 is probably too early but he may well be there in the 1821. Thanks a 1,000,000! Alan |
