Julie It says that you need to find the information you want to view and then click on the amount that it will cost at the side. That will then take you to the section to make payment! Lou

Paula If you tick the check birth box and put a date range, then you can narrow the field to just (say) people born in 1850 +/- 5 years, which can reduce the number of entries to just the likely ones. B

I find this site really usefull as on some of my marriage look ups have given the witnesses names and even managed to find one actually married the grooms brother saved me looking to far Kazzie

I have found Family History Online quite useful, especially for marriages which are not on the IGI, and for dates of death. I think that it is a matter of luck, because some counties have really good coverage and others nothing more than can be found elsewhere.

The site gives you full details. You have to register to use the site, but only pay if you think you want to look at something in the index. More is being added all the time, but it can take a little while to get the info into the format needed for the site.
