I do have the index Christa! What I want to be sure of is that I'm not on a goose chase when the guy might have been Welsh and not registered the name Thomas. Hence what is the liklehood of travel to Wales on meagre wages. Also please confirm in your opinion, are indexes pretty good when it comes to 2nd names?? If they're NOT, I'm stuffed, if they are reliable, I have a good chance of sorting this. Sorry to be a pain people, thankyou, going to change my name so you won't think 'Here we go again'next time lol |

Well postie has just been and I ran to the door 'cos the post sounded heavy - but it was just the lastest YFT mag - none of my 13 certs. Anita - I normally have to hide them but my birthday's coming up so I'm going to take the info off them when they arrive and then hand them out for people to give me as b'day pressies!!! |

I think if we were able to downloads certs for about £3 as Julie mentioned previously, I'd be broke, however it would be fantastic! |

Helen, You can do this online via the 1837online site which has a button for ordering certs. This takes you to the ONS website. They cost £7 a go - if you have the reference numbers. Have a look - google if you can't find the sites. If you're still in diffs, post again! Regs Jane |

I've just been really really naughty this morning and ordered 13 in one go!!! Quoted despatch date of 11th May. Hope they come sooner. It's not my fault the line I'm doing now all had Derwick Ormond Goodfellow for a name, generation after generation and therefore have been too easy to find! lol |

I ordrered yesterday and quoted 4 days! I usually send to concerned reg office...but many of mine are Liverpool ..which i quoted is a 14 week wait at the moment!! Southport gro is very good and lovely people!! I used to live there so maybe i am biased!! As we all know we are itching for certs once we find what we are looking for . I understand at some point we will be able to get them via our pc and it will be half the price about £3.00 i was told..lets hope thats treue! Lynn in sunny Cornwall..today! |
