Gores 1919 to get address first !!CENTRAL LIBRARY 1837 SITE or FAMILY RELATIVES SITE (covers up to 1920) for possible marriages re ISABELLA and the mother of course!! theres a chance that Isabella might have had to care for younger sister if the mother had died by 1915. |

Right this is what we have ....... Father -barman or similar born 1872 ish ANDREW MACDONALD Mother- born 1874 ish ANN MACDONALD ISABELLA***>>born 1898 ish(true to her word) ANNIE>>1901(March)birth cert=june 1901 Toxteth Park 8b 135. Also .... Deaths Dec. 1908 Andrew Mcdonald aged 36 toxteth park 8b 111(cert)-this fits perfectly and would explain a few things /hardships etc. Annie McDonald died 0 Dec 1901-8b 143=not guaranteed to be yours because there were 6 births that year in liverpool with that name or similar. So now we are starting to build a picture. |

that family is definitely the one.........hooray... as an aside eastham is avillage facing the liverpool waterline, and there used to be a ferry that took you over to liverpool from the eastham hotel. ive checked 2 sites re isle of man and macdonald didnt turn up in any of the marriage or birth records depite them running from 1849-1925 in some cases.Bit bizarre,as the records covered many different denominations. Ive got a gt gt grandmother that was churchof scotland ,but she changed to catholic when she came to england early 1900's. |

My sister-in-laws family come from the isle of man and she cant get any birth certs for them here.Thats what makes me feel that its quite a good connection.liverpool is also where her family ended up.Think it was for work.Have you tried tracing the Ella In Isle of Man with her sisters to see where they ended up.I found all my mums relatives this way.Could not find her grandads family. Her nan and her nans sister married brothers. We found our roots very quickly then.Good Luck Ann |

dear teresa,im really excited by what you have just said, ive not found an issabella mcdonald born in scotland on the census(does it give her address, parents names?) and the person who was living in 17beaconsfield st at the time of my granfathers birth was a MISS LIZZIE ORTON BROWN occupation NURSE, ella could have been her maid but there is no mention of her , thanks for your very exciting input thanks suexx |
