Thanks everyone, so grateful for your kindness. It does mean a lot to me but sad too ............... I think I will offer a copy to the Southwark Archives (if I get permission from the cinemuseum!) Apparently I have to sign a contract before they will send it to me saying it is for personal viewing. Ive rung my uncle down in Sussex and he is 81 and was very tearful (he is actually a cousin but with my dad being youngest of a very big family - some of his bros were 24 years older than him). He has insisted that he pay for the videos as a present 'from your dad' and he wants me to go down so we can watch it together (his dad was the eldest brother of 8 (surviving to adulthood) and according to my dad, the one chosen to lead the dramatic chase in the film!) and then try to get some sort of reunion of those we can find to watch it altogether. As every brother was in the film, everyone present would be either their children or grandchildren. Wouldnt that be wonderful. |

Getting nervous now! Oh they mailed me saying it will run on English VR Uncle(really cousin) in tears this morning on phone saying he had never believed he would see that film. He better hang on a while then! (81) |
