The Bag

The Bag Report 26 Dec 2005 18:09

That is just so kind - guess what , not sure how he found me, but santa brougt me a very tasteful pair of my own! Turquoise , orange and lime green stripes...Lovely! Want to swap? Not that i can get any socks on at all at the moment - my poor feet are sooooo swollen, tried rubbing them with the Kumquat syrup but hat has just made them sticky! bit worried about Bobbin - she keeps standing up, wanding round in circles then laying down again with a sigh~ thought sh emight have gone for a bound along the beach by now, but she seems a bit wobbly

Merry Report 26 Dec 2005 18:21

That's called a doggie hangover.............Hubby once thought it would be clever to let our pointer have a tiny measure of Baileys (really tiny!!) You would have thought she had drunk the whole bottle the next day!! Thanks for the offer to swop socks, but mine are stuck fast.....think Crone must have used them to wipe out the bath or something?? I think if you were to sit, sockless, with your legs out of the back door and wait for it to snow.....that should do the trick for your poor swollen legs........ Merry

Helston England Clodgey Lane Helston, Cornwall or St Austell England Kingfisher Drive, Cornwall Do you think we shoud organise a rescue party (as opposed to a New Year party)??? What equipment will we need? Merry

The Bag Report 26 Dec 2005 21:13

I guess it is highly likely that Crone did get locked in the records office although given the taste of the punch she prepared (maybe that is what caused my problem? ) maybe we should try the local hospitals (or even undertakers). did her daughter even turn up?~ maybe that was who that woman walking up and down giving us distainful looks was.

Merry Report 26 Dec 2005 21:18

I am making a breaking and entering kit........... hammer forklift truck crowbar machete set of keys (well, you never know) craft knife scissors balaclava (several, depending on size of party) black leather gloves (ditto) dog balaclava (½ dozen) screwdriver (to drink, when things go wrong!) Merry

Beryl Report 26 Dec 2005 21:46

Merry, Having spent the last day or two searching the surrounds and not having seen sight of Olde Crone...I agree with you,. she must be locked in. On the way back from my search I managed to obtain some useful items. rucksacks to hold our equipment half a dozen packets of headache tablets for those suffering a hangover various torches A large magnifying glass (all good detectives have one) Brandy to revive our spirits Some left over turkey Couple of credit cards (Iv'e seen them used on TV to open doors) Hope these are to your liking. When are we setting off....should we wait until tomorrow...more of our revellers may have surfaced by then? I await your directions, suggestions or orders! Berylx

Merry

Merry Report 26 Dec 2005 21:49

LOL Beryl.....tomorrow it is then....... Mission: Continue to gather useful items and pack them into the bottom roof box.........we can take the lid off the top roof box and then should be able to cope with several sitting in the top box, one behind the other.........please check OC's wardrobe for warm clothes. PLEASE NOTE - this mission does not suit a red glittery G-string. Do you think this should be done under cover of darkness?? Yes, so do I........................so tomorrow night it is! Merry

Beryl Report 26 Dec 2005 22:17

Merry and Ozi Bird, I have had a good rummage in Olde Crone's cupboard and managed to find some very interesting garments. 1 pair of big knickers (the sort that come down to your knees as I am only 4' 9' they come down to my ankles!) 1 pair of 70's flares l long crochet jacket (shocking pink!) I Ena Sharples hair net (useful to keep my flowing locks in under my balaclava) 1 box of fireworks (we can tie these together and blow off the lock). I shall be very warm but am a little worried that if any anti terrorist police are viewing this sight (well you never know) we will all be locked in (not in a public library or records office) but clink! Beryl x PS. I also found a bottle of camp coffee...would you like one?

Merry

Merry Report 26 Dec 2005 22:40

Well, I'm sure we can reassure the police that we are on a rescue mission and nothing unkind will happen to anyone (OK, we won't take the revolver), past messing up our tresses with the balaclavas and maybe the odd picked lock. I promise not to even steal any records from the LDS (Well....I'll TRY not to....) Who's wearing the flares? More items......... Camoflage makeup mirror (for seeing round corners) binoculars with see-in-the-dark thingy.... Merry

Merry

Merry Report 26 Dec 2005 22:51

Camp Coffee?? No thanks, though it does make very good coffee sponge cake..... Merry

Beryl

Beryl Report 26 Dec 2005 23:07

You have set my mind at rest...didn't want to end up in the clink...it was bad enough when I landed in the drink and had to be rescued by the gallant lifeboat men! I will be wearing the flares....they will, hopefully, cover the big knickers! Please Merry when we are all set to go Please...please...may I say synchronize watches? It sounds sooooo professional. Extra useful gadget....hand held two way radios...must keep in touch with other rescuers at the back of the building. Must check police wave length... don't want to give our presence away. Did you say you would like a cup of camp coffee? Beryl x

Masking tape - you criss cross it over the glass in the window then when you break it the bits of glass do not spray everywhere. Chisel - for removing putty so that window can be removed whole. Dynamite - blow the whole bloody wall out It all depends how far away the nearest police station is. Do we have to do this quietly, or can we go for the big bang and the quick getaway. And are we going to have to do it twice, if she turns out not to be at the first venue - or are we sending out two parties to check out both places simultaneously? Do we have enough womanpower to make two simultaneous raids, or is half the staff still sleeping off the punch-from-the-bath? Perhaps OC is really a spy in disguise and she has been spirited out of the country by some foreign power because she is getting dangerously near to the truth about the antecedants of their highest and most revered? Then again, she could be lying frozen in a ditch somewhere, having got her harvest home knickers caught on the brambles while collecting late autumn fruits for the festive punch. Really, this does not bear thinking about. Come on Jess, frozen or not, you must don your warmest woollies and help with the search party. I will inflate all the balloons again and try floating over the countryside looking for a flash of red tinsel in an unexpected place. Tally ho! Tina

Beryl, we can synch watches by checking our message times on this site........I suggest a one minute countdown at 7.59pm tomorrow.......we can use one of those countdown clocks like they have in films.....the sort where the clock has only clicked down three seconds after 10 minutes of action......... And I said ''NO THANKYOU'' to the Camp Coffee....would keep me awake and we need all the sleep we can get tonight............. secateurs fuse wire packet of mushroom soup (to put off the police, who might be feeling peckish.......) fake LDS staff members badges plastic moustache, nose and glasses (for when the balaclavas get too hot) darning wool and needles Merry
