Oh goody. I'll start typing, then. Another tip - there are some WONDERFUL restaurants in Exmouth Market, just round the corner from FRC and LMA. The Turkish one is particularly good. (hic) And despite failing to come to grips with the microfilm printers and having my seat stolen by someone, I found one of my Skillings in Chelsea Workhouse (the settlement examination is about the only place where her birthplace is correct.) so it was an all round good day.

Name is Christian Bauer, baker born Coblenz c1841. He married my ancestor Mary Ann Asbey Hanson in Stepney in 1871. Actually he seemed to get quite well off after this time, ended up living in a nice area of Essex with a servant for the family!

Probably way off the mark but I wonder if they drew designs onto table cloths for others to then embroider. My parents have a number of old tablecloths which were embroidered and I seem to remember that some of them were quite elaborate.

And I just went over to General to moan about the £844 mobile phone bill 19 year old son got today.
