Hello Edna A most gracious and kind offer, many thanks I have come across another Irish link in our chain and this is my Grandmother (Fathers Mother); after ordering the usual Certificates I have found out that she was born in the Irish Republic on the 30th November 1908 given name 'Eileen Sarah Dagg' and her Fathers name is given as 'William George Dagg' DOB around 1875. Further to that they were living in Canvey Island, Essex at the time of 'Eileen Sarah's' Marriage in 1925. I'm affraid thats it, so I looked on a Link for BMD Ireland and it looks as though I can order a Birth Certificate by fax but armed with just the above information would they be able to find her Birth Certificate with so little information??? I had an email from someone on GR that although the Families didn't match there is a Dagg connection in Dublin and apparently there is a Family run Garage Business still there somewhere? If you can find anything at all in the Archives or Census or if you can give me some advice on her Birth Certificate or on what to do next I would be most grateful and appreciate any help you can give me. Thank You & Best Wishes Sue |

Hello Enda, When you have time could you look up the Irish Census1901 for my grandmother Margaret Delaney b.31/01/1884 in Cork, her father Michael Delaney c.1860, I think he would be (head). I know nothing about her family only the father's name. I do know that in 1904 Margaret was here in Hanwell Middx because she married Thomas Weldon. They are not in the English 1901 census. Thanks a million, you are so kind! Ann Passeri (nee Weldon) |
