And here's one for the ladies, from the 1901 census. This young fellow will have been taken aback when introduced to the daughter of the family. (Don't blame me, this is a genuine census entry!) Heather, It is info like this that helps us poor, missguided, idiots, who sit at our computers whilst the sun shines. Frustration, anger, swearing,and then we get loads of laughter. I am sure the parents who name their children with such names, were/are unaware of the laughter they generate. But then things that were funny 100 years ago are not now, and vice versa. Steven, it was your thread which left me feeling very inferior - I didnt have a Fanny at all. Then there was Gramps who seemed to have my Fanny and a lot of other peoples aswell in his collection. I have been searching for a Fanny since that time and now I have one and shall look after her.
