Hi Liz Just looking now. Have looked at Colne (thinking they might have been there if thats where they got married) but nothing. Some of the pages (don't have name index so have to look through all the pages) are very faint. Do you want me to try another area? |

Hi Marie, Thank you for your offer. I hope you can help with my family. I have George WALMSLEY b1830, Goodshaw, Rossendale. His mother was Ann nee Clegg, b1805, Hapton. I believe his father John died before 1841, as Ann remarried William BULCOCK on 20/04/1841 in Colne. George had younger siblings William b1835, Rawtenstall, and Ruth b1836, Cliviger. I also have another family: James CROSSLEY b1810, Oswaldtwistle, wife Priscilla b1813 Oswaldtwistle. Children Preston 1833, Mary 1835 and David 1839, all Oswaldtwistle. Thank you again for your offer of help. I will be out for the rest of the day but will check back in later this afternoon. Regards, Liz x |

Hi Marie No I do not know Betty's parents names, only that a son David was born abt 1834, I presumed her father may have been David as I found her in 1851 a widow living at Blacksnape along with other Knowles in the same place. Plus quite a few Davids with maybe her brothers. polly |
