O.K. here goes....................... Jane ( Janet, Jenny, Joan etc) is the female form of John ( Ian, Ewan, Iain, Sean etc) The french for John is Jean. So, in conclusion......................... Jeanne is the french for Jane. Janet (41 ¾) with a C.S.E. grade 4 in French but more French rellies than you can shake a stick at!

Merry, you are not alone. I was stopped from taking French too. That was mainly down to a poor teacher. Our year was split up into two groups (baby boomers) and the other French teacher did EVERYTHING in French, spoken written and read. They all got on so well with it. OUR French teacher had us doing projects on France and all things French in ....ENGLISH!!! The she wondered why her class failed at the language. DUH!! T x

LOL - I failed Geography too.....teacher had us spending two whole terms copying a map (freehand) of Australia from an atlas ..... Pity the O Level syllabus was mostly about Industrial UK and Strawberry Farming in Norway! LOL Merry

I made history in my ancient and venerable school by achieving 2% in Chemistry O level. I got the 2% for writing my name correctly at the top of the page. Olde Crone

Well, I spose I better tell you, they didnt even put me in for maths - I think I got 30 odd percent in the mock and they said it would be a waste of time and money.
