Have to say, I do think it's harder to locate your rellies on 1841 than the others - but I expect we will become familiary with its idiosyncrasies with time Snowdrops |

Paul, Smith in Kent brings up over 7000 hits. Go in from the Home page and enter your details there. When you get the census listings on the results page, click on view all results and you should find that the 1841 is there. |

Am wondering if it's already crashed...not getting any details of people I know are on the 1841 census. Have even tried a surname search for 'smith' in Kent and got zero matches!!! |

The children have just come home from school and I need to cook tea ....but then the computer beckons! Let's hope my daughter will volunteer to cook the spag bol tonight!! I could always bribe her with pocket money to give me some viewing time before we have to go out to after school clubs! Well done for finding it! Claire |

Elaine, they were supposed to give exact age from 1 to 15 then round down to nearest multiple of 5 - so 19 year olds would show as 15, 22 year olds as 20 etc. BUT some of the enumerators gave exact ages all the way through, some got it wrong and rounded up. |
