For specific villages try genuki for parish record links and curious fox just in case you make a connection.Sometimes just googling the village name with the word genealogy will get you to some small websites that may have something relevant.

There is a Clwyd family history site that has a section with photos etc of churches in Denbigh area. http://www.clwydfhs.org.uk/churches/index.html Try the main government site-go to the A-Z section,click on A ,and scrol down and click on archives. http://www.denbighshire.gov.uk/ Get on the Genuki Site and follow the links to the area re parish records. This is the addy for the records office.....again consider others at wrexham and Flintshire. Denbighshire Record Office 46 Clwyd Street Ruthin Denbighshire LL15 1HP Tel: 01824 703077 Fax: 01824 705180 they have county and regional directories from 1822. electoral roles from 1832.

I want to apologise Alter for not getting back sooner to thank you for the information. Thought I'd gone back to all of my threads but must have missed yours. A belated thank you anyway. Thanks very much for all the information......as it happens Roger Bristow at Hastings reference library is the person who found all the information for me about my grandfather. HI Alter, Thanks for your kind offer. My family come from Cumberland but I don't. I am keen to trace wills from Whitehaven, as my g.g-grandfather had a business with employees. Any sources for anything will be welcome. (Also for Durham there is the Tyne & Wear Archives in Newcastle) Anne
