And I have found John and Martha in 1841, if you would like that image, too - in St Anne, Soho. Edited - forget that - just read backwards again!! Joy

Atlantic Blue Report 20 May 2006 16:56

Merry Note the spelling of the surname is Wetherell ... have found a few Wetheralls in London but they weren't connected to my bunch. Mike ( Getting more confused by the minute !! )

Christine

Christine Report 20 May 2006 16:55

You probably have this already Name: Maria Anne Wetherell Year of Registration: 1846 Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar District: St Martin In The Fields County: London, Middlesex Volume: 1 Page: 116

Atlantic Blue Report 20 May 2006 16:54

No on second thoughts that doesnt work either because my John Wetherell was definitely born 5 Sept 1807 which would have made him 33 years old in the 1841 census.

Merry

Merry Report 20 May 2006 16:52

Wetherall is a Yorkshire name, isn't it?? Not many of them about in London in those days! Merry

Merry

Merry Report 20 May 2006 16:51

So is she the Widowed Mistress??? And if she is, what's she done with her children???? I can't see any of them, nor deaths etc Merry

Colin

Colin Report 20 May 2006 16:50

No...William is shown as 10 and a girl but no relationship shown....John and Martha both 23 so it is possible that he is John's brother....however John is not born in the county whereas William is..... also John would have been 23 not 33 in 1841

Atlantic Blue

Atlantic Blue Report 20 May 2006 16:45

OOps .. well that has thrown a spanner in the works Colin !!! However John would have been 33 when he married martha in 1840 so its possible I suppose that it was his second marriage and son william came from the first. Thanks Back to the search !! Mike

Colin

Colin Report 20 May 2006 16:40

The Martha referred to was the wife of John Wetherell who in 1841 was a coffe shopkeeper.. age 23...they had William who was 10 in 1841 and they lived in Dean St. St Ann Soho Westminster

Merry No , I know John and Martha married in 1840 in Westminster Middlesex but I can't find them in the 1841 census either. All three kids baptised in Middlesex. That's about all I know of them at the moment. Mike
